Caramelized Pineapple with Cinammon
10 minutes preparation - 10 minutes cooking
Mix the lime juice and half the lime zest with 1 tbsp honey, a pinch of cinnamon and nutmeg. Set this sauce aside. Mix the icing sugar and a pinch of cinnamon with the fromage frais.
In a non stick frying pan, heat the butter with 1 tbsp honey until melted, then add the pineapple and cook over a high heat for 8 mins, turning regularly until caramelised. Add the lime juice mix in the pan for a few seconds, glazing the pineapple.
Serve immediately with the remaining lime zest and accompanied by a dollop of the cinnamon fromage frais
- 1 Del Monte Gold® Pineapple, peeled and cut in slices or wedges
- 2 tbsp honey
- 200g very low-fat fromage frais
- 2 pinches ground cinnamon
- 2 tsp icing sugar
- 2 tsp butter
- 1 lime
- few grating of whole nutmeg
