The Role:

Reporting to the Technical Manager you will be responsible for ensuring compliance of the supplier base and maintain all documentation pertaining to suppliers. Part of the role is to liaise with the suppliers and plan ahead with regard to quality issues while ensuring that the specifications in place are robust to capture any progressive issues. You will be required to carry out internal and external supplier audits where deemed necessary.

You will be part of the team responsible for ensuring compliance to BRC, customer codes of practice and food hygiene & safety regulations.  You will ensure all policies and procedures are up to date and that the factory is producing good quality safe products. Your key functions will include but not limited to the above.

The Candidate:

You will have good verbal and written skills and be PC literate.  A very good understanding/Knowledge of fruits and associated challenges. Experience in carrying out audits would be preferable.  You will be able to work well within a team and be an excellent communicator at all times.  Reliable and trustworthy. You will have experience of HACCP and CCP’s together with previous QA experience in a short shelf life factory or a related business.
